Life is a startup, too, and we’re all its founders. Some things work, some don’t, and sometimes you need a pivot
Hi, I’m Alexander Pelerin – just Alex. Thirty-five years ago I founded a small design company and ran it for most of my life. There have been other projects since – some worked out, some didn’t. Now I have a new one: this newsletter. Turns out I have to learn all over again – the very thing thirty-five years of experience somehow never taught me.
I’ve done a lot of hiking, and now I’m planning the Camino de Santiago.
At The Open Trails, we interview people and tell the stories of those who, at some point, changed the course of their lives – or chose not to. Each story is about what made them stop and think, what they committed to and what it cost, where they are now, and why they live the way they do. These stories inspire you, and help you understand your own life better. By sharing them, we help you find your own solutions. And sometimes – take ready-made ones.
I don’t write as someone who has it all figured out. I write from the middle of the process.
The newsletter comes out once a week. If anything here interests you, please write in the newsletter comments. I read everything, and the best conversations here have started with a single reply.
